Our Mission
Bloomer Community Lake Association's mission is to keep Lake Como clean and healthy for all community members to enjoy. The association is a non-profit organization that works alongside government entities, educated consultants, and community members to obtain data and resources to help continue these efforts.
Membership & Donations2023 Activities & Accomplishments
- Turkey Trot raised over $6000 for the association — Thank you Mary Rufledt
- Completed 2 cleanouts at Martin's Bridge — Removed over 25 yards of slime and duckweed and thousands of pounds of phosphorous and nitrogen that would have otherwise added to an algae bloom
- Silt trap study has been completed.
- 220 hours of volunteer time logged.
- Healthy Lakes Grants have been applied for and received.
